# Find your way around
> A quick tour of the Vera app — the tabs across the top and where to find things.
**For everyone.** Whether you run the business or work a shift, this is how Vera is laid out.
Everything in Vera lives behind a row of tabs across the top of the screen.
Here's what each one is for.
## The top bar
Along the very top you'll find:
* **Your business name** (top left) — click it to switch workspaces if you
belong to more than one.
* **The bell** (top right) — your [notifications](/everyday/notifications).
* **Your picture or initials** (top right) — opens a small menu with
**Account** and **Sign out**.
## The tabs
Just below the top bar is a row of tabs. Everyone sees these:
| Tab | What it's for |
| ------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Home** | Your starting point — today's shifts, a quick summary, and shortcuts. |
| **Schedule** | Your shifts, your availability, open shifts to pick up, and time off. |
| **Tasks** | To-dos assigned to you. |
| **Messages** | Chat with your team, one-on-one or in group channels. |
| **HR** | A group that opens **Payroll**, **Documents**, and **Hiring**. |
On a phone, the tabs tuck into a menu. Tap the menu button (☰) in the top-right corner to open them.
## What only managers see
If you run the business, a few extra tabs appear on the right side of the row:
* **Report** — an overview of how things are going.
* **Integrations** — connections to other tools.
* **Settings** — your team members, teams, locations, and workspace setup.
Don't see these? That's expected — they're for managers only, and everything you
need for your own work is in the tabs on the left.
